What's included
In the price
Analysis of your process
Before building anything, I understand how you work today and what's failing.
Design of the tool
Screens built for the people who'll use them eight hours a day.
Full development
The whole application: what you see, the data and each user's permissions.
Training for your team
A session so they can use it from day one.
Warranty after delivery
If something fails because of a mistake of mine within the agreed period, I fix it at no cost.
What isn't
Quoted separately
Migrating old data
If years of information need moving over, that's quoted separately depending on its state.
Native mobile app
It works well on a phone through the browser, but it isn't an app-store app.
Ongoing evolution
Adding new features later is another commission, or a monthly block of hours.
What you get
01
The application running
Working, with your users created and their permissions set up.
02
User manual
Written for your team, not for programmers.
03
Training session
An hour live with whoever will use it, questions answered.
How we do it
- 01Weeks 1 – 2
Analysing the process
I sit with whoever does the work today and learn the real flow, not the one on paper.
- 02Weeks 3 – 4
Design and sign-off
I show you the screens and the journey before coding. This is the cheap moment to change things.
- 03Weeks 5 – 14
Building in parts
I deliver finished features every couple of weeks so you can try them as I go.
- 04Final weeks
Testing and go-live
We test with real data, I train the team and we start.
Price and payments
The price is fixed before we start, with the scope in writing, and split into several payments along the way. If halfway through you want to add something unplanned, I quote it separately — it never turns up on the invoice as a surprise.
First payment
At the start
On accepting the quote
It books the dates in my calendar and gets the work going.
Second payment
Halfway
With the main part signed off
Once you've seen and approved the bulk of the work.
Final payment
On delivery
When it's finished
With everything done and checked by you.
Common questions
Sometimes it is, and if that's your case I'll say so. Building bespoke pays off when what exists forces you to change how you work, or to pay for fifty features you never use.
You do. Once it's finished and the invoice is settled, everything built is yours to do as you please with.
No. What we sign is what you pay. If during the project you ask for something outside the scope, I tell you the cost first and you decide whether it goes in.
The dates get recalculated, at no extra cost. All I ask is that you tell me: I reserve the time in advance, so I can reorganise.
Is your team fighting with spreadsheets?
Tell me how you work now and what's slowing you down. I'll tell you whether building something bespoke is worth it.
